Marouane Fellaini is set to leave Manchester United with a mega-money move to China.

The Belgium midfielder, 31, is in talks with Shandong Luneng over a move to the Far East that will land him A7million-a-year after tax.

That is the equivalent of earning 65,000-a-week over here and a massive hike on the 18,500 he picked up each week at United.

United are prepared to let the ex-Everton star leave after falling out of favour under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

But Scott McTominay has been told he must stay at Old Trafford now as cover after being lined up for a loan to the Championship.

The Scotland international will provide cover for Fellaini’s loss, who will bring an end to five years at the club when he arrived in the David Moyes era.

He had agreed a deal until 2020 recently so United will get a decent fee of around £8.5m for him.

United will take a hit on the 9m they paid when he joined the club in 2013 — but it has been clear Fellaini will not feature under Solskjaer.

He has been part of squads that won the FA Cup, EFL Cup and Europa League during his time at the club under Moyes, Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho.

Fellaini has played 177 times for United in all competitions, scoring 22 goals – winning four trophies, including the Europa League and FA Cup in the process.
